Can foreigners study shaolin kung fu or wushu in china?

You can...however, it might be somewhat tough. Many Chinese elders who are masters of kung fu holds kung fu as a Chinese pride and will most likely refuse to teach a foreigner.

And if the ones who will teach for money, then it%26#039;s probably is for money, and you probably can%26#039;t pick up much.

|||Yes but be weary. I suggest you watch these two videos. The first one is kinda the bad side, the latter is one i was able to whip up on the good side.

I think going into it with the right mindset will help but i%26#039;m just trying to show both sides of it.

I really hope that answers your question.|||Are you planning on going to China? Then prepare for senseless corruption, strict police, a language instructor and $200,000 cause you might get kidnapped... LOL... And why Shaolin? Are you gonna bicycle-kick your way towards MA greatness... LMAO...|||yes they can, as long as u know what the language they%26#039;re speaking or they speak a bit of english.

Anyways, just look for people in ur country that knows these martial arts so that it wont be difficult for u 2 understand.|||Yes. Mathew Polly did it in the 1990%26#039;s. Read his book before actually doing it.|||Yes.

However, don%26#039;t forget that you can study it in your own country as well.|||why not
