Xtreme martial arts is wushu right?

Im currently taking kung fu and i will be invited to wushu soon. ( i have taken wushu before but i quit and now im back!) and i was wondering if wushu is considered extreme martial arts because i want to be learning all those flips and stuff or should i just go to gymnastics?

I know what extreme martial arts is but i want to know what is it under, kung fu wushu karate taekwon or what.. what class should i take to learn this i live in sacramento area|||Most of the XMA competitors come from all different types of styles ranging from JKO, Kenpo, and Kung-fu. Combine gymnastics with traditional martial arts training as well as find yourself an XMA coach.

If you live in Northern California, look up Team Cali or Team Loopkicks. Innovators like Rudy Reynon, Hans Wikkeling, James Solis, Richard Cali, and Jerico Catura all hail from Northern California. Look em up and see where they train.|||It is really just mixed martial arts. So look for an XMA class, or mixed martial arts and probably also gymnastics.|||No, not at all. Just because they do flips doesnt mean they are the same. They are similar though.
